Der Sound auf "Death is little more" erinnert stellenweise an alte Zeiten, als Bands wie Unearth, All That Remains oder August Burns Red mit ihrer Härte den Metalcore prägten."Turning hate into rage" eröffnet das Album und kommt dabei ohne das branchenübliche mystische Intro aus. Für einen klitzekleinen Moment schleichen sich harmonische Melodien ein, die jedoch umgehend von einer gewaltigen Gitarrenwand weggepustet werden. Boundaries entfesseln durch die Doppelbesetzung an der E-Gitarre eine unheimliche Wucht. Cory Emond und Cody DelVecchio sorgen aber nicht nur für die nötige Aggressivität, sondern sind vor allem virtuos an ihren Instrumenten. Überhaupt ist der Metalcore von Boundaries alles andere als simpel oder stumpf, die Fünf peitschen sich durch Songs voller Tempo- und Richtungswechsel. "Cursed to remember" prügelt unvermittelt los, lässt für einen längeren Breakdown-Part die Fäuste baumeln und holt anschließend zum Knockout aus.
